There we are people it's the end of May and we just dropped through the 2 meter level. We are at 196cm with about one week of skiing to go on Whistler Mountain. The man says it's going to be a good week. I have to go to see a man about a thing but keep your eyes on this space because we will be back next season.

Snow's holding up pretty good. You can still get down to Olympic station via the Olympic run. If you're into it you can ride your bike the rest of the way.

It should stay dry today but rain's a'coming next week. 2 More weeks people. Any hard-core types out there ready to ride those last runs of the year?

Looks like an unsettled weekend coming up. Snow on top, dirt in the middle. Ride it or bike it, your choice.

Got some fresh snow over the last few days. We're having a break between systems today. Thursday and Friday should be good. Mountain biking is in full swing for those of you who swapped your planks for wheels. The bikepark is open and for a short time snowboarders and bikers are meeting at midstation.

Not a stellar day, should get a lot better by Wednesday, we may even get some snow up there!

Excellent day, we'll get some clouds in the aft.

Like a day at the beach people. This time of year really is the best no crowds, sunshine and plenty snow in the Alpine.

Looking good, we even got a whole cm of new snow. Only four weeks left on Whistler!

Not what I would call an excellent day. It's raining well beyond mid station. Keep y'r fingers crossed for a dip in temperatures, at least in the Alpine.

OK people It's really melting now! we're still above the 2 meter mark at mid mountain but it's not going to last. You can still ski to midstation but I am not sure for how long. If you want to ride one more time before summer this is it.

Spring's back. Snow's melting. Come and get it while you can. Do it now.

We might get some flurries this aft. For now it's gorgeous, spring skiing has never been so good.

It's getting warmer again, the clouds are keeping things cool in the Alpine but the sun is poking through now and then. A solid spring day I'd say.

The sun is back. We've got a foot of fresh pow that hasn't had a chance to melt and freeze yet. See Ya!

You think I am kidding don't you but I am not it is snowing down here in the valley and staying! We actually have a cover of snow on the ground and in the trees. This is so weird but he if this keeps up we'll make that 'one foot of snow over 4 days' yet.This afternoon and especially tomorrow this weather is supposed to break. Don't worry I am waxing right now

9 cm today. For those of you mathematically challenged, that's 21cm or 8 inches over the last three days. More to come!

Looks like winter is back with a vengeance. We're going to have cold conditions with occasional snow up in the Alpine for the rest of the weekend.

There you go 9 brandnew centimeters of fresh snow. Don't spend it all in one place now y'hear!

Might we get some snow up there today? Flurries with sunny breaks is the forecast. We'll see.

Warm people, it's warm! Bring your sunscreen and wear your favorite t-shirt.

Looking at the creeks around here all running at full capacity I'd say there is a lot of snow melting up there. If you still want to do some riding or skiing this season come up here. Do it now!

What can I say? An excellent day!

Sunny and warm is the outlook for the next week or so. Come and get it while the getting is good.

It's snowing up there right now, how much will it be? Check in tomorrow. Just a reminder last year we had snow well into May up in the alpine. This is probably not the last fresh snow we'll see up there.

Sunshine, great alpine skiing, valley mountain bike trails opening up. Ain't spring great?

Only one way to get up the hill now, the Whistler gondola. If you insist on riding to the bottom of the mountain you'll be walking the last bit. Great spring skiing in the alpine.

Last day for Blackcomb Mountain people! From now on it's Whistler Mountain only. Telus is also wrapping up their festival, it's going to be quiet in this town for a while.

Before I forget, yes the hardy types are still riding or skiing into the village but it's definitely a "last run of the day" sort of thing. It's also the end of the Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival. This weekend it wraps up with the mother of all freeskiing events. Be here.

And We're Back. I hear I didn'tt miss much. Last week was mostly snow/rain. The base only dropped to 272cm from 282cm so that's not bad. I'll have to take the old board up the hill soon.

A nice and sunny Aprils Fool day, A good day to skip out of town. I'll be gone for two weeks so.., no report I'm afraid until I get back. What do you think? Will I still be able to ski into the village in two weeks. Anyone care to lay a bet one way or the other?

An iffy day this Easter 2002, no precip but strong winds are pushing fogbanks through the valley. Sometimes there's sun next it's fog again.

Well so much for that dump we were promised. It looks like a fine day out there the sun is peeking through but the man says that there is stil a chance of snow. Yeah Right, as if..!

It's overcast and threatening to dump. Will it be an empty threat or are we going to have a late season dump as the man predicts? Looks like Sunday and Monday are going to be clear sunny days, some extra pow on the hill would make those days heaven. Mom nature are you listening?

Today is the day, light winds, sunny periods some fresh snow. Get here now because tomorrow and the weekend are going to be iffy.

It's snowing very lightly right now. It's hard to say which way it's going to go, more snow or a clearer skies? The man says we're going to see more snow which would kinda cool.

The good news is it's cooler, as a matter of fact the freezing level is almost down here in the village. However looking at it from down here I can only describe things as "pissy". If you're here to ski I'ld say ride up in the gondola and stay in the Alpine. Enjoy the fresh snow while it's falling.

More beach weather but get this, the man says there is 10 cm on the way tomorrow. I gotta see it to believe. Tune in again.

Dudes, what we have here is a day at the beach except we have snow instead of sand. If anybody needs me I'll be off working on my tan.

A little cooler today, it should not get above freezing in the alpine. Spring break is on in most provinces/states, it could not have come at a better time. Anyone need a suggestion as to what to do with all that free time? Talk to me.

Spring has sprung and right on schedule too I might add. Going from -20c to +4c in the Alpine is shock to the system I can tell you. We're going to get a bit o'this and a bit o'that for the next few days nothing to get your knickers in a knot about, it's called spring skiing, get your butt up here.

Inversion! Stay high al day where it's warm, ski into a cold village at the end of the day, weird! It's back to normal spring conditions, some flurries, some sunny breaks, some clouds for the next few days.

I do believe we are getting a late season dump, 16 cm already and still snowing. Tomorrow should be sunny according to the man. Sunshine, Fresh Pow? Be here!

I don't think there is going to be much snow today but it is snowing lightly right now and you just never never know. Today is the man's downhill so it better not snow too much because guess who'll be raking and sideslipping excess snow of the course, that's right, your favorite volunteer and snowreporter.

The brass monkey is definitely back. Layer up and then layer up some more. I you're dressed well there is no better time to be up on the hill than today, the snow is dry and the view is forever.

A cold front has arrived this is good news for the race organizers. Skiers hate to race in mush and keeping the course in shape when the snow is soft and wet is no fun either. If you see me on the course raking snow or fixing gates or whatever, wave.

We had our sunny break yesterday and then this new disturbance showed up together with a front of colder air. Result? More snow. The reason I've writing these very early morning reports the last few days is because I am volunteering as course crew for the Canadian ski championships. Strangely enough we could do without snow for a few days still, I am not complaining.

Even though it is snowing (very lightly) right now it will break up later today. We are going to have sunny breaks. What? Have I ever been wrong?

OK people, that heavy front has now passed there will still be some tail end flurries but it should get cooler with sunny breaks. Come and play with our 322 gorgeous cm's. Do it Now!

Pow as far as the eye can see warm at the bottom though so rain in the village. When this storm front moves on there is going to some whooping and hollering on the mountain.I may go and whoop a bit myself.

A midday report today. I wasn't sure what was going to happen this morning, snow or sunny breaks. Things are clearer now we're having snow, lots of it. Don't know if can classify this as a dump yet, check in tomorrow.

Tell you what I'm going to do. I Am Going To Stop Forecasting!!! For four days we've been promised storm fronts and snow. For four days all we got was some overcast sky and 1CM! Victoria got snow, Vancouver got snow, Seattle got snow, we got squat. It is to weep. Now, about tomorrow, tomorrow we'll get clouds or maybe not, snow or maybe not, be here and find out.

It looks like that Pacific storm is really really really going to bring us some snow starting today with a real dump coming tomorrow. Right now the situation is high overcast, hazy sun poking through, still fairly cold. The runs are machine groomed hardpack.

OK so what I wrote yesterday! It goes for today, ok? Do we have fresh pow in the area? Sure if you don't mind driving down to SEATTLE!

It is to laugh! Today we were going to have clouds and snow what did we get? Sun and blue skies. Not that I am complaining but Could We Get With The Program Mr Weatherman!! As you can see the cold has arrived, a low pressure area will arrive later today or tonight. (Yeah Right).

We got 14cm over the last 24hrs, am I disenchanted? I am Not! as a matter of fact I am outta here.

The Pacific front has arrived but it hasn't dropped anything yet. This afternoon says the man! There is not going to be any major dumps but a few centimeters here, a few inches there and before you know it you've got POW! Meanwhile the vis is good, no reason not to go check it out. See ya.

This is spring skiing at it's best people come and get it. For next week we've got a Pacific frontal system coming our way and it looks like we might get some pow to freshen up the base. Keep 'm crossed.

It's getting warmer, good. Warmer air means a softer top layer. Some of the runs, especially the bottom ones, were getting bullet proof. It's spring skiing all the way, come and get it.

A late report today. My DSL provider was indisposed and when he was finally disposed again I wasn't. It was an excellent day. Bring your sunscreen the next few days.

It took until late in the afternoon yesterday for that system to pass through. The sky is solid blue now but it's nippy. Bring your fleece.

We had a system come through last night, I had high hopes but it was a wimpy system it didn't bring any pow. The last bit is overhead right now, the sun is already poking through it's going to get sunny later on. Who's complaining?

Excellent day again, sunshine and acres of snow. A bit icy at the bottom. I'll go see if that 3 cm made a difference. Cheers.

Not that Canadians like to brag or anything buttuh.. We Laid an Ice Hockey Butt Whupping of Major Proportions on that other nation that shares the North American Continent with us and I am not talking Mexico here!! But like I say we don't like to brag! So I am not going to brag about this Stupendous day we're having here today either.Come and see for yourself.

Cold. It's Cold! -20c? That's the sort of temperature they get in the Rockies or back east but not here on the balmy west coast. I would say wear an extra layer and Don't forget that camera, it's so clear I bet you if you jump up a bit on the Peak you'll be able to see Vancouver.

Brass monkey time! Just when you thought you could put the fleece in storage Mom nature reminds you who's in charge around here. Yesterday the high chairs did not open, it took half a day to clear the avalanche paths and the visibility was ahhh.., more limited than variable. Today the high alpine is open, get up here and ski all that fresh pow!

It's snowing big time. The official snowfall is 5cm but I can tell you it'll be a lot more at the next count because I've got at least 15 cm (6") on my front porch. Tomorrow there is supposed to be a break in the weather. I might not be here, if I'm not you know where to find me.

The weatherman is like, só not with it sometimes. Today was not going to be a day to write letters home about so I planned to do some off-mountain stuff. Turns out we have gorgeous day and I am stuck down here! I hope you feel my pain!

Not an altogether sterling day. Still, 17 brandnew cm's are nothing to sneeze at. It smells like there could be some more snow in them thar gray skies and hé, when it comes to snow, more is better!

Sun's peeking through right now, looks like a fine day. A large frontal system is coming this way, looks like it's going to snow for the rest of the week.

One of those days when you don't know whether to shoot or get off the pot. Is it going to snow? It's kinda warm so if we do get precip it'll be rain down here. Let's just go ride and forget about cold fronts and upper air disturbances and stuff.

Still clear but an "upper disturbance" bringing snow is coming our way from North California! From boarder dude to surfer dude, Thanks man!

We've got a front coming this way and should get some fresh snow tomorrow. For now we've got a mild inversion with warm air hanging around the alpine. Weird but... who's complaining?
