It's melting fast people. We are having a heatwave. I can't remember when we had 20c in the Valley in May at 11am in the morning. The pack is at 158cm and that is measured midway between the bottom of the green chair and the roundhouse restaurant.
Solid blue skies, warm winds, day at the beach. Be here quick I don't think the snow is going to last to June 10th.
Hé, fresh snow. Who'lda thunk it. Snow is getting choppy later on in the day, get up there as early as you can. It's looks like it's going to be an excellent one today with sunshine and everything.
Nice and cold, -1c at midstation, high clouds so no sun on the snow. Should be good snow conditions but no tanning today.
It's cooler up there again plus we had some snow over the last few days. Right now it's cloudy but it should be clearing towards the end of the week. Methinks it's going to be great from Wednesday into the weekend.
It's warm people. Very warm. No tanning today though, there are very thin high clouds in front of the sun.
An other one in a series of sunny/cloudy days. Excellent spring conditions.
Some excellent spring days are happening. Today looks good, so does tomorrow. Skiing into midstation is becoming marginal depending on the weather and temp of the day but the Alpine rocks.
A small system is going to pass through later on today and tonight but right now it looks like an excellent day. I'll go and see. Later!
As you can see we had a major dump 'round these here parts. Today we've got solid blue skies. Do I need to say more?
We've got a system moving through, we should get some snow in the Alpine. After that an excellent weekend according to the man.
Absolutely gorgeous day! Blue skies, sunshine you know the drill. It's 1c at midstation so expect some slush down there.
That's better, sunshine and plenty of fresh snow up high. We're going to get some precip later on today but then it should clear for an other excellent tomorrow.
It's still snoning or is that raiwing? Anyway what ever it is it's wet down here but dry on top. The freezing level is at about 1000M midway between the village and midstation. It should start to clear towards the end of the week.
It's cold again, good! It's raining down here but it's -2c at midstation so the season is still in full swing up in the Alpine. Things should clear up by Tuesday. Methinks there is some excellent spring skiing to come.
It's raining/snowing as promised. Skiing into the village is only for those with a good pair of mud skis. By the way I have been remiss Blackcomb mountain is closed until June 11th and the Whistler Creek gondola is closed for the season.
A good looking day too warm on top for April but hey! This is going to be a short season we all know it. We've got some cruddy weather coming this way over the weekend I probably won't get up until next week.
Not much to report I'm afraid. It's kinda dreary out there right now. It's way to warm and raining. We did have a bit of snow two nights ago but we are waiting for the sun.
Clouds are moving in we may even get some more snow in the Alpine. Skiing into the village is now getting really iffy. Conditions in the Alpine are good to great depending on how high you go.
Blue skies are back. This is spring skiing as it should be. We have plenty snow in the Alpine. Come on down!.
Good looking day today clouds but also sunny periods. It doesn't look like snow or any sort of precip. Bottom of the hill is soggy you can still ride down but not for much longer.
Plenty of snow but only on top. Past midstation it's slush. Conditions today, variable sometimes sun sometimes snow.
15cm! What can I say. It cooled down from yesterday, clouds dropped a load, we got snow. See you later.
It's warm people, too warm! It's 4c at midstation. I am not ready for the slushbowl just yet. There is supposed to be some cool and unstable air coming this way. More Snow!? I'll see it when I see it.
This is one of the best Easter weekends we've seen for a while. The Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival is cooking. The weather is excellent and there is plenty good snow. Sorry you couldn't make it.
5 brand spanking new centimeters! Come and get 'm. It is cloudy today vis is variable and we may get some more. Tomorrow it should clear. Anyone complaining?
It's clouding over we may get some fresh snow this Easter weekend. We've got a bit of wind and unlimited vis. A solid day.
An other blue sky gorgeous one. Skiing into the village is still possible. Later.
The snow passed us by I'm afraid but it looks like a totally rad day out there anyway. I'll see you later.
Well isn't that special. My sitehost and I had a little falling out. I could not update the report for 4 days. We did have some more snow (27cm over the last 48 hours) and some excellent sunny days as well. Today it's cloudy, maybe some snow tonight.
The day started out great. Clouds and light snow moved in in the aft. Lots of soft snow to go around.
First week of April, 8cm of fresh, who's complaining? We'll probably get a few more cm during the day and maybe tomorrow after that spring should be back. Did anybody say spring skiing?
Some very high thin clouds, unlimited vis still fairly cold with some wind in the Alpine. A good to excellent day.
Pretty cold up there it being April and all that. Still, a good looking day, clear, a bit of wind, plenty snow.
It snowing again but don't let that fool you. Yesterday it turned sunny in the afternoon. What do I know? Is the weather going to play an April fool on us today? Check in tomorrow.
It's snowing right now, quite heavy. It looks like it could be snowing all day long but is supposed to break up later. We'll see, meanwhile this has to be the last major fall of the season I am hoping for an other 20cm at least.
Blue skies, some nice fresh pow, excellent day. An other frontal system on the way, it may get here this aft or tonight. More snow to come.
It's snowing very lightly right now at village level. Vis is variable with a little wind. There is a frontal system sliding this way, more snow to come.
Fresh snow, clearing sky. Excellent day. See you.
OK so 3 cm ain't exactly a dump, it's still better than rain. It's cold enough again today and there are clouds overhead, there are a few flakes coming down right now (8:30 am) will it develop into something? The weatherman says yes!
It's snowing right now and there is more to come. I guess we just had a really slow start to the season. It looks like there is much more to come. It's cool up there right now and the vis is variable.
OK it's cooling off, that's good because there's plenty of precip in the air. We are going to have rain/snow for the rest of the week. The question? Where is the snowline going to hang out? Right now it's at midstation but it's coming down.
It's very warm people, too warm. Two things are going to happen later today, it's going to get colder and it's going to snow. Mark my words. Right now? Forget about layering up unless you wanna work up a sweat.
Some very high thin clouds up there but it is a sign of things to come. This is going to be a rough weekend. It may rain(!) tonight and tomorrow which should turn to snow by Saturday evening. Right now conditions are excellent.
An other blue sky day. As you can see the snow packs down quickly in spring but there's more on the way this weekend! This is what spring skiing is all about. Get down here.
Excellent day, blue skies all around us and fresh snow up to our ears. You know where to find me.
So there you have it. 51cm over the last week. People emailed me asking if there was going to be any snow in March. What can I say? Vis is limited right now but it will clear up towards the aft. Be here!
Write this one down folks. March 19 2001 We finally broke the 2 meter mark and with inches to spare as well not only that but there is more on the way. It's snowing lightly right now, will it dry up or get heavy again? Tune in tomorrow.
Serious snow people! It's snowing right now even at the village level although it's turning wet down here. All in all an excellent March dump. Vis is limited right now with a bit of wind and much more white stuff to come.
A seasonal record! We're over the 190cm mark. Upwards and onwards towards the 2 meters I'd say. It's snowing right now, vis is variable, not much wind.
How weird is this? It looks like it's going to be dumping well into next week. It looks like light and thin clouds out there right now but the man says... Flurries this aft. Snow tonight and tomorrow. Big snow over the weekend. I'll keep you informed!
It looked good this morning, it was snowing lightly. It stopped now and it looks like the clouds are breaking up. It could turn out to be an excellent day.
All in all an unimpressive performance but in keeping with the season we've had sofar. Not quite 10 cm over two days, what's up with that?! The freezing level is back down in the village, at least it gives the mountain people a chance to add some manmade to the lower runs.
The good news is we got snow and more is falling. The bad news is it's above freezing in the village. Result? Midstation to Alpine OK but runs into the village are mush.
Still waiting for that snow? It's going to happen. This Aft. Really! Honest to goodness. Have I ever lied to you before? No Really.
Clouds again but today we've been promised some snow as well. The vis is reported as unlimited but I can't see the mountain tops from down here.
It's cloudy and cooler today we may get snow over the weekend, Tuesday also looks good. Winter isn't over until the fat lady sings (or something like that).
Looking very good! Fresh pow, blue skies. See ya later.
OK so we got some snow be careful with it it's going to have to last a while. The clouds are already breaking up, the ridge of high pressure is trying to rebuild. No new snow until Monday
It's warm! Too warm I'd say. It will soften up the snowpack up in the Alpine mind you but it will also start thinning it out. Fresh snow on Thursday says the man, we wil see.
Well, we had our flurry and it dumped 1cm now were back to solid blue skies. Notice it's warm as well? Leave your layers at home and remember the sunscreen.
Don't know what's happened to that high pressure ridge. There is thin high cloud up there, looks like it could go either way. There are flurries in the forecast for later today. We'll see.
Blue sky spring skiing is back with a vengeance. A high pressure ridge is building over the area, it looks like spring is here to stay.
Not bad, 18 cm over two days. There is a chance of flurries today and Sunday. Fingers crossed we'll get an other 5 to 10cm. Conditions are great right now, unlimited vis and fresh snow, come and get it.
It's here, fresh pow. It took long enough we may get some more today, a good way to start March. We still have low clouds but they are breaking up. An excellent day to hit the slopes.
Final day of February and we have solid overcast skies. A few flakes came down a minute ago but no serious snow yet. We are expecting flurries throughout the day.
More blue, clouds expected this afternoon. We've got a temperature inversion, bring a T-shirt shades and sunscreen.
I could get into this spring skiing in February! Everyone in town is sporting a tan, the outdoor patios are packed, have a cold one on me.
Blue skies etc., you know the drill. No precip in site until at least Thursday.
An other spring day with a few clouds oh and guess what. The man has changed his mind. It doesn't look like snow on Sunday after all. Solid spring skiing well into next week.
Yesterday was just as excellent as the day before. Today clouds are gathering. There is a solid low cloud deck overhead, is someting going to come from it? Chance of flurries says the man. I'll let you know.
Some very thin high clouds up there, conditions are groomed hardpack, excellent if you feel the need for speed. The moguls are big and tough but you'll have to go off piste to find untouched snow.
Obviously springs skiing is here, big time. Not a cloud in the sky, not even a glimmer of a possibilty of fresh pow until Friday. Don't forget the sunscreen.
After filing yesterday's report it kept snowing for about an hour than it started to clear. The afternoon turned into absolute gorgeousity what with sun and plenty pow to go around. We're having more bluesky spring skiing today. I think I'll go and partake if you don't mind.
That's better, 5cm is not a lot but it's better than a kick in the butt furthermore it's still snowing so there will be more to report tomorrow. Vis is limited up there but it's not cold. Stick to the trees and you'll have an excellent day.
What's up with this? Victoria gets 6cm we get 1? That is So not normal! It looks like an other blue sky day out there. Temp is back to normal chance of snow every day until Wednesday, as if.
Still cold with an inversion to boot. Get your butt up into the alpine, get warm! Clouds are moving in, good chance of snow this weekend. Right now vis is variable and it's well, cold.
It's very very cold! Yesterday evening a small system gave us a bit of snow but now an arctic cold front is moving through sweeping away the clouds and delivering cold crispy clear conditions. Skiing today is on hardpack with some fresh and some manmade.
We're supposed to get clouds and some snow this afternoon or tonight. Right now it's blue skies with a few whispers of white here and there.
High clouds moving in but we're not expecting anything until tomorrow at the earliest. Conditions are basically machine groomed hardpack with manmade added where possible.
More nippy blue skies. Make sure you've got your sunscreen on. The man now says we may get some snow moving in by Wednesday.
Solid blue, no wind, fairly cold. The only new snow is man made. Bring your camera.
It's kinda solid light grey out there with a hazy sun peeking through now and then. Our only chance of some more snow is tonight. Next week is going to be solid spring skiing
If you check out the five day forecast you'll see clouds and a slight chance of fluries. Forget it! We've got solid blue skies right now (9o'clock). Spring skiing is here.
It's snowing lightly right now. We will get more during the day and tonight, about 10 cm is my guess. We have light winds and variable vis.
Very cold, very crisp, very clear. Solid blue sky, bring your camera. Clouds moving in late this afternoon at least that's the plan.
It's Cold Up There! Layer up. Blue skies, no wind, day at the beach if you don't mind a bit of a nip in the air. More snow coming on Thursday says the man.
5cm is better than nada. Still, we expected more. Excellent day though, unlimited vis, no wind, feels like spring skiing.
The bad news is we didn't get any snow last night. The good news is it's
snowing right now and it looks like it might go on for a while.
A nice clear day, nippy but no wind. Lots of fresh snow to go around with more in the forecast for Sunday.
15 cm. That's more like it. Mind you, down here in the valley it was partly rain but right now we're back to snow. The temperature is doing its yoyo thing up and down the mountain. Be cool, stay high!
Clouds still here. Fresh snow? Nada. I am going to quit calling for snow I think I am jinxed. So, even though there is snow in them thar clouds I expect nothing. You hear that mom nature! Nothing! (a little reverse psychology can't hurt)
