Celsius Explained.
There is still one nation left in this world where the Fahrenheit scale is used to measure temperature. You know who you are. Here is a quick Celsius refresher. Water freezes at 0c therefore anything between -1c and -10c is good for snow while still comfortable for people. As far as aprés in the village is concerned people will sit outside on the patios at about 10c. Yes I know, people have been known to sit outside at 0c but those are the ones feeling no pain.

A reasonable day. Overcast with sunny breaks. Not a bad day to end the season. I am outta here for a few months. Check back every once in a while. If something happens around here I'll write it up. I am expecting those first fresh flakes around mid October. See you then.

OK. I'm cheating. The 18cm fell over the last 48 hours. Down here the weather was pretty bad but it's now breaking up. Later today (it's 11:44am) it should be good. Tomorrow will excellent, I know I'll be up there trying out this weird stuff called fresh spring snow.

I had a look for my self. We had sun and clouds the best conditions for this time of year. Clouds keep the snow cool so you have from about 9:30am to 2pm before it gets too soft. Two more weeks!

Spring's back. Sun, snow... you know the drill. It's going to be warm today. Bring your camera and watch for sightseers anywhere around the roundhouse.

It's miserable people. No other way to describe it. It's too cold in the village yet too warm in the alpine. It's raining from top to bottom. The man says it'll taper of and Monday should be clear but meanwhile the snow is being beaten up.

Clear visibility for now but clouds are moving in and the man says Sunday is going to bring rain/snow. It'll be snow in the alpine if a slight cooling trend holds. If it does, Monday should be excellent.

Yesterday was good, I know I was up there. Today less so. We had a system move through overnight which dumped quite a bit of precip on us. It looks like it's clearing out but for now we're under a heavy cloud cover.

6cm!? I am running out of things to say. It's dry now with low clouds and sunny breaks. Visibility will be spotty but the snow even at above freezing level is sweet.

Not exactly sunny but clear with good visibility. It may get sunny towards the afternoon. I am worried about the rest of the week. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

It's cold up there (and down here for that matter). We've also reached 266cm of snow. (This is May you may remember). I don't mind telling you. I could do with some sun.

Yep. It's still snowing up there. Weird! We've got high cloud and low cloud but right now the sun is trying. It's going to be interesting today. You'll never hear me say no to fresh pow but it is May and like, you know? Should it be like that?

The avalanche boys are busy with their bombs again this morning I guess we had some weird situations building with all that springsnow over the last few days. It's cloudy today but it's supposed to clear towards the afternoon.

You miss a day and what do you get. 8cm of pow out of nowhere. We've got good snow but bad weather. A couple of Pacific weather system are causing spring which had sprung to become unsprung. There is a clearing trend towards the end of the week. Fingers crossed, stiff upper lip and all that.
